Full Job Description

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Principal Design Engineer to join one of the world leading pneumatic conveying specialists based in Doncaster

The main function of the Principal Design Engineer will be to prepare designs, drawings and documentation for the companys products and project related engineering.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· To produce mechanical and process engineering designs.
· To provide the drawings and documentation for manufacture.
· To carry out mechanical and process design calculations.
· To lead, motivate, manage and supervise engineering and drafting personnel.
· To produce documentation describing the operation of machines and systems to allow the
· To be responsible for the technical content of a project.
· To represent the company at meetings with customers.
· To be involved in the design and development of new products.
· To provide technical support to the commissioning team during plant start-ups and to take a
· Lead when required with technical problem solving.


CORE SKILLS AND ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

· Able to create mechanical engineering designs, drawings and documentation.
· Good analytical and problem solving skills.
· Able to communicate effective around engineering issues and able to present technical ideas clearly.
· Organised, motivated and self-managing.
· Able to lead and motive others.
· Able to work effectively as a member of a team.
· Good IT skills, particularly those used for CAD, calculation packages and those used for compiling word documentation i.e. Word, Excel.

QUALIFICATIONS

· A degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
